Senator Yaw announces video competition for students to address drug abuse

Senator Yaw, along with his fellow senators, has announced the “Talk To Your State Senator” statewide video competition to encourage students to get involved in the legislative efforts to fight heroin and opioid abuse.

Videos submitted by students must address the issue of preventing teens from starting and abusing drugs, including underage drinking. The contest is open to students in grades 6-12 and will be judged in two categories: Middle School (grades 6-8) and High School (grades 9-12). Students may enter individually or in a group of up to five students. For specific instructions, view the Video Competition Overview document.

Prize money will be deposited into a Tuition Account Program in the winner(s) name. All entries must be submitted using the registration form available online at www.acommonwealthcrisis.com/talk-to-your-state-senator. Entries must be received no later than December 10, 2017.
