High School Daily Bulletin, April 25



Last night our baseball team shutout Sugar Valley! Nick Vrabel made NEB history by pitching a perfect game… striking out 11 in the Panthers 14-0 victory. Nick was also perfect at the plate, going 4 for 4 with 4 RBIs. Congratulations to Nick and the entire baseball team on a great performance.

Baseball players and managers are dismissed today at 2:50 pm for a home game.

Attn Volleyball players:  There is sign-up sheet is in the front office for next fall’s team.  Also, there is a brochure for pick up in the front office.

Any girl currently in Grade 7 who wants to sign up for JH Volleyball, stop in and sign up with Mrs. Susanj in Room 5 this week.

Cheer tryouts are going to be moved to possibly May 12 , but please continue to sign up if you are interested even if you are worried that there is a conflict in schedule… we will see what arrangements can be made.

From the Office of Student Services:

Tickets for the BlackLight dance are on sale during second lunch. The dance is Friday May 18 from 7-10 pm, and tickets are $5.

The Freshman class candy bars are in and can be picked up in the library prior to home room tomorrow.

Any students in grades 8-11 who are interested in STEM for next year, please meet with Mrs. Folk during AA today.

There will be a blood drive Thursday, May 3. Any student 16 years old or older wishing to donate blood, please sign up in the front office or see Ben Alderson.

Spring Fling tickets are now on sale during lunches. The dance is for students in grades 7-9 only. Tickets will be $5 each. The dance is from 7-9 pm. If you plan to bring an out-of-school guest, you must fill out a guest form and turn it in to the front office.  

The book drive has been extended until the end of April. Please bring in any unwanted or discarded grade school appropriate books and place them in the boxes set up in the cafeteria for for students and the faculty room for staff members. All donations will be taken to the elementary school and distributed among students from Kindergarten to 6th grade. If you have any questions, please see Vanessa Roshak.

All students who bought a prom ticket need to see Mr. Holmes before the end of lunch on Friday to vote for prom court.

Any student bringing an out-of-school guest to prom, forms are past due. Please see Mr. Holmes if you did not hand in an out-of-school guest form. All out-of-school guests need an ID card. No exception!

Yearbooks are now on sale. If you did not get a yearbook form, you can pick one up from Mr. Holmes. They are also available on the website.

Remember to show your Panther PRIDE: be Prepared; be Respectful; show Integrity; be Dedicated; and show Empathy. Be proud to be a Panther!

From the Guidance Office:

Students in grades 8-11 are reminded that all 2018-19 schedules are due to be turned in to the guidance office by today.

Quarter 3 Honor Roll and High Honor Roll lists are posted in the front office lobby.

First Citizens Bank is looking for juniors or seniors who plan to attend college in the area of business who are interested in possibly working at First Citizens Bank over the summer and during breaks. Stop by the guidance office for more information.

Any Junior who is considering attending Elmira College, please stop by the Guidance Office.
