September 2023 Dear Parents/Guardians: Northeast Bradford High School is pleased to announce that we are once again working with Northern Tier Regional Planning and Development Commission (NTRPDC) to offer career exploration and education activities to our students through a career coach. NTRPDC has received funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry to provide this service to participating high schools in the Northern Tier Region. The career coach will focus exclusively on helping students make informed career choices through a combination of career decision-making processes, interactions with employers and post-secondary schools and the use of the Smart Futures career development program to confirm student’s career interests and education pathways for success. The career coach, Barb Knapp, will work directly with students through one-on-one meetings and group presentations. Mrs. Knapp will be here on Mondays from approximately 8:00-3:00. She is willing to adjust her hours to accommodate student schedules. This service is available to students in any grade, 7-12. Mrs. Knapp works out of the School Counseling Office so interested students should see their school counselor to request an appointment. We are happy to have this program at Northeast Bradford again and hope our students will take advantage of the opportunity to meet with the career coach to further develop their post-secondary plans. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your student’s school counselor. Sincerely, Northeast Bradford School Counselors and Administration
