We are excited to share an outstanding opportunity for future 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. Students can apply to participate in a Summer 2026 Honors College experience at IUP!
The IUP has partnered with the Summer Honors Program to offer HNRC 281: Design, Build, Play, a three-credit course running July 6–July 24, 2026.
This dynamic and interactive course is divided into two engaging areas of focus:
Games and Storytelling with Dr. Mike Sell
Creative Engineering in the STEAMSHOP with Dr. Rick Adkins
Students will complete two weeks asynchronously online, followed by one immersive week living and learning on IUP’s campus, providing both flexibility and a meaningful on-campus college experience.

Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors may participate through IUP’s Dual Enrollment Program.
Eligibility requirements include:
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
Approval from a high school counselor
Completion of a required online Zoom orientation (for first-time dual enrollment students)
Scholarships may be available to those students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.

Pi Day is tomorrow, 3/14! In honor of Pi Day, Anthony Pousen and Dan Barrett held a Pi Memorization Contest. Sebastian Caveny memorized an impressive 158 digits of Pi! They also raised money for the Mr. Fearnley Scholarship through a pie auction. Ed Eastman organized a Pi-K run, having participants run 3.14 kilometers around the NEB campus. It was a great day of Pi Day celebration!

NEB held the first ever 9-12th Grade Military Fair! Students got to meet with the Army, Army National Guard, Coast Guard, Air Force and Marines. Students asked a lot of questions, participated in physical challenges, and learned about the different branches. This was a great experience for students to see what is available to them!
