ASVAB testing will be taking place Wednesday, December 4, 2024 in the high school room 5/6 from approximately 8:30 - 11:30AM for ALL SOPHOMORES. Interested juniors and seniors can sign-up by notifying the guidance office of their intentions to test. Students do not need to bring any testing materials with them on their scheduled test day. While the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is used for military entry and job placement for students interested in enlisting, high schools use the assessment for a career exploration tool. Students are able to compare their own skills to those used in careers they are interested in. The ASVAB can also allow a student to clear a pathway for the required ACT 158 Pathway to graduation. All students must clear a pathway prior to graduation. A student can clear by scoring a 31 or higher on the ASVAB. For more information on the ASVAB's career assessment and career exploration program, please visit: ASVAB Testing Information. We DO NOT release sophomore ASVAB scores to military recruiters and the ASVAB testing center is not permitted to do so; however, if you do not wish for your sophomore child to test, please email or write a note asking that your child be exempt from ASVAB testing for this school year. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school counseling office.

The breakdown of the semester is as follows: Session 1 – 1/27 to 3/21 Session 2 – 3/24 to 5/16 If students are interested in signing up for a course, they can come to the school counseling office for the registration form.
